Profile
Chelene Hanes conducts research focused on moisture dynamics, fuels and fire behaviour through field studies and remote sensing applications. Her work contributes to the next -generation of the Canadian Forest Fire Rating System (CFFDRS) and other operational models used to support wildland fire management. Dr. Hanes is a core member of the national CFS Fire Danger Group.
