Profile

• Member of the forest carbon accounting team at the Northern Forestry Centre
• Primary role is to improve the representation of soil in the Carbon Budget Model of the Canadian Forest Sector (CBM-CFS3) at scales ranging from the national to stand level
• Involved with model evaluation and calibration studies through collaboration with researchers who have intensively sampled forest stands to estimate forest C stocks and through comparison of model output with C stock estimates from the National Forest Inventory (NFI) ground plot data

• Interest in sampling design and procedures used to estimate forest C stocks and the development of forest humus form classification
