Genetics of conifers

Description

  1. Identify highly productive white spruce families and clones in order to increase the value of plantations.
  2. Acquire broader knowledge of the genes transmitted to progeny either by the mother or the father only or by both parents.
  3. Compare levels of genetic diversity in plantations and natural forests and test the effect of gene flow from plantations on the adaptive capacities of descendants of natural populations growing near plantations.
