Research interests

• Remote sensing applications for characterizing land cover, forest structure and quality in support of management (strategic, operational and tactical inventories), change monitoring, habitat assessment; and more broadly forest fuels, bio-economy, climate change and carbon accounting.

Data

• Remotely sensed data acquired from terrestrial, aerial (both drone and aircraft), and spaceborne platforms:
  • Light detection and ranging (LiDAR)
  • Optical, hyperspectral and radar

• Image analysis, geographical information systems, spatial statistics, multi-level modelling and error propagation
