Profile

Current research and/or projects

My research focuses on the functioning of forest soils, particularly on carbon dynamics, in response to forest management and global changes. Moreover, my work aims to deepen our understanding of the environmental challenges associated with forest biomass harvesting and its use as a renewable energy source. My scientific approach is largely based on data collected in natural field conditions, complemented by experiments in controlled environments and modeling. This approach enables me to provide informed answers to contemporary ecological questions and to support decision-making.
