Profile

Sarah Sims is a 2011 graduate from the Honours Bachelor of Science program at the University of Waterloo.

She has worked on various contract positions at the Great Lakes Forestry Centre (GLFC) since 2008 and has had the opportunity to gain a wide range of knowledge and experiences both working in the field, as well as in the laboratory. She began as a summer student entering data for an insect data base. She has been involved with scientific research projects including emerald ash borer, Asian long-horned beetle, Sirex and Monochamus.

Sarah started working with the Insect Production Services team in 2012 on contract and enjoyed learning all aspects of rearing insects. She became an indeterminate employee with the Canadian Forest Service in 2016.
