Remarks: On needle layer under ~40 cm diameter Abies lasiocarpa and Picea engelmannii. Monimitic, tramal gen. hyphae 3-9 um, clamps, walls hyaline, thin-walled. Spore wall thin, warted, pale yellow in KOH. Basidia 4 sterigmate. Sections of hymenium and trama exuding blue in KOH. Part of carp 8 x 4 cm when fresh. Hymen dark greyish-blue when fresh, veined. Pileus surface smooth, dark blackish blue with brown exterior.
