Remarks: on ground with Salix stolonifera Coville; field collection 60; cap shiny purple brown; stem upper part purple; odour raw potato; Ammirati says "This is a fairly frequent species of arctic and alpine habitats with Salix. Your field collection 60 fits in general with the morphological features of C. subtorvus, however, your material lacks the characteristic heavy white veil and the basidiospsores are longer than normal for this taxon. More material from the field would be helpful here, especially since this is a widespread species in arctic/alpine habitats."
