Remarks:
Basidiomes arising from buried board on soil and lower surface of plastic flat for garden plants. Dimitic, ge. Hyphae 3-4 um, clamps, walls thin. Spore wall thin, hyaline, smooth. Basidia 4 sterig, rarely 1 or 2 sterig. Skeletals 2-4 ud, occas. branched, wall very pale yellow, most with only capillary lumen, sl. refractive.

Remarks:
Pushing through asphalt lane. Double veil, although lower veil is fragmentary. Spores broadly ellip to subglobose, grey brown, thick-walled, smooth.

Remarks:
Under Pinus ponderosa in pure pine stand. Odour and taste not distinctive or nil. Cap to 10 cm diam., convex surface. Dry to viscid, radially strigose, distinct dark olive grey (muddy). Spore print on cap dull cinnamon. Flesh, cap, and stipe homogeneous, white with faint yellow tint, spongy-firm, up to 2 cm thick. Stipe excentric, cyl, ca 3 cm long x 2 cm diam., some narrow toward base; exterior dull, minutely dotted, dots yellow or brown (spore deposit?), upper half obvious yellow, lower half white. Tubes tannish-yellow, 1 cm deep, pores 2/mm. Margin <1 mm, membranous.
