Remarks: On bark on lower surface of recently fallen dead twig, 15 mm diam. When fresh adnate, to 1.5 cm diam. Deep reddish grey, smooth to tuberculate, tubercles small (+/- 1 mm diam.) when dry. Margins incurled, hym dark grey with lilac tint. Peniophora pithya but no lampro cyst. Monomitic, hyphae 3-5 um, thin-walled. Vesicles in subhymenium, clavate, brown wall 14 u diam. Spore wall thin, hyaline, smooth. Context in sections brownish, but individual hyp thin-walled and hyaline, closely packed, adherent hymen brownish in sections, basidia packed and adherent. Basidia 4 u d., 4-spored, projecting 10 u, 30-35 u long. Sections in KOH brown. Gloeocyst. sulfo positive, few, subhymenium cyl to subulate.
