Remarks: Under Pseudotsuga menziesii. Odour farinaceous, in troops under Douglas-firs. Pileus 5 cm (but some 10 cm in field). Dry, dull, not paling, dark tan with pink tint (near sun-tanned flesh); margin striate from above, flesh 6 mm thick/white. Gills white, adneied, close. Stipe cyl with distinct swollen base, exterior of core white, solid, firm, exterior dull, glabrous. Print very weak, white.
