Remarks: Under Douglas-fir and Ponderosa pine. Subglob. to more lumpy, to 3.5 cm diam., core merulioid, pale olive grey, rind ca 1 mm thick, staining burgundy when cut. Exterior pale brownish yellow with slight olive tint; attached by short, narrow (<0.5 mm d.) white strands, no columella!
