Abstract

The Forest Insect and Disease Survey (FIDS) is a nationally coordinated program of the Canadian Forest Service, Natural Resources Canada, consisting of six regional FIDS units and the FIDS Forest Pest Management Project (formerly FIDS Technology Development Project). This report is the eleventh in a revised format of national annual reports dating back to at least 1936 and provides quantitative and interpretive data on damage and depletion caused by forest pests in Canada during 1990.
