Abstract
This paper is the third in a series of context papers intended as guides to the current and future directions of the CFS's science program. This paper defines alien forest pests (insects and diseases) and describes why the CFS, in cooperation with its wide range of partners, addresses alien forest pest and related issues through research, monitoring, and assessment activities.
