Abstract
In 1987 the 13th Federal–Provincial Nurserymen's Meeting was held for prairie forest tree nursery personnel. Its purpose was to facilitate technology transfer between researchers and operational staff, exchange ideas, and solve production problems to enhance the quality of nursery stock. Papers were presented on seedling culture, vegetation management, and cold storage, three of the most important activities in prairie nursery operations. Production summaries from various nurseries are presented in a section on nursery operations. Research activities that were visited at the PFRA Shelterbelt Centre in Indian Head are described.
