From the 1 023 sugar maple trees sampled (729 felled and 294 measured by the Barr and Stroud dendrometer) the standard bole and tree volume tables in cubic metres were constructed for the Great Lakes - St. Lawrence Forest Region, Quebec. Four standard volume tables, resulting from the methods which separately take into consideration bole and tree volume with and without bark, are presented. The precision of these tables is exceptionally good, with errors ranging between plus or minus 8.5 and 10.5%.
