Abstract
Compares field survival and growth of bullet, bullet-plug and styro-plug seedlings with bareroot planting stock for commercially-important tree species in British Columbia. Plug seedlings survive as well as, or better than, bareroot stock, and they grow at comparable rates. Survival of container-grown stock falls when the seedlings are planted in progressively harsher growing conditions.
