Abstract
Five genera of plant-parasitic nematodes were found in the soils at the Berthierville, Normandin, and Proulx forest nurseries, Quebec. The genus Pratylenchus Filipjev, 1936 was the most prevalent and widespread. Species of the genera Criconemoides Taylor, 1936, Paratylenchus Micoletzky, 1922, Meloidogyne Goeldi, 1887, and TrichodoTus Cobb, 1913 were also present and the first two frequently occurred in large numbers. A species of the genus Cephalobus Bastian, 1865, was the most common bacterium-feeding nematode found in the nurseries' soils.
