Abstract
The most active forest insects in the Yukon Territory in 1976 were the larch budmoth on tamarack and spruce beetles in windfall spruce. Diseases more prevalent than in recent years, were needle casts on lodgepole pine and needle rusts on spruce.
Special attention was given to the extent of damage by the commonly occurring spruce broom rust, Chrysomyxa arctostaphyli.
