Abstract

Natural Resources Canada's Canadian Forest Service hosted 11 discussion fora with Métis and Off-Reserve Aboriginals (M&ORA) across Canada, during March 2000. Approximately 200 M&ORA participants attended the meetings. The purpose of the discussions was to learn, firsthand, the importance M&ORA attach to forests and their perspectives on their involvement in forest use and conservation, and related issues.
