Abstract

The dwarf mistletoe parasitizing shore pine in British Columbia, Canada, and Washington, U.S.A., is described as a subspecies of hemlock dwarf mistletoe, Arceuthobium tsugense, based on morphology and differences in host susceptibility of western hemlock and shore pine to the shore pine dwarf mistletoe, Arceuthobium tsugense subsp. contortae.
