Abstract

Dermea rhytidiformans Funk & Kuijt n. sp. is described from cork-bark disease of alpine fir (Abies lasiocarpa (Hook.) Nutt.) in British Columbia, Canada; the conidial state is Micropera sp. Cultural characteristics and life history observations of the fungus are presented with evidence of its causal role in the disease.
