Abstract

Three experiments were conducted to determine if a commercial preparation of Bacillus thuringiensis Berliner could b eused to control a field population of the Essex skipper, Thymelicus lineola (Ochsenheimer). Dosages of from 0.4 pints to 19.2 pints/acre of Thuricide 90T (1964 formulation) were applied as a spray. Significant larval mortality occurred. It is recommended that 2 pints of Thuricide 90t (1964 formuation) per acre be applied for effective control.
