Abstract
This research focuses on developing a user friendly visualization system which reconstructs three-dimensional objects from serial microscope images. This visualization system consists of three parts, serial microscope image acquisition, object modeling/representation, and object rendering/display. For the modeling and representation which is the vital part of the system, an algorithm called the marching-cube modeling algorithm is employed and modified in this system. Cubes and spheres are used to simulate the reconstruction of the microscope images, and a plant nucleus is reconstructed. These re-constructions show that the system is promising.
