Abstract

A sustained look at black spruce regeneration: Black spruce is the most abundant tree species in eastern Canada, and sustains forest industries across this region.

Potential impacts of herbicides on amphibians: Amphibians have long been recognized as a physiological unique and ecologically important group of vertebrates. They are effective indicators of forest ecosystem health at the terrestrial/aquatic interface.

SprayAdvisor decision support system: This is an advanced decision support system that may be used to optimize aerial herbicide applications to meet the twin goals of enhanced forest production and greater ecological protection.

Silviculture Studies: Intensive forest management is increasingly being embraced as a way to maintain wood-supply on a shrinking forest land base.
