Abstract
Logging slash provides nutrients for future forest growth: Nutrients from leftover logging slash are part of the recipe for healthy forests. Defined as the woody and leafy debris left behind after an area is logged, slash provides nutrients that will be available for future forest growth.
Short-rotation woody crops field day and exhibition: Staff from the Great Lakes Forestry Centre and the Canadian Wood Fibre Centre (CWFC) co-hosted a two day event showcasing high-yield afforestation and concentrated ( short rotation coppice) biomass for bioenergy and bioproducts on November 5th and 6th in Claremont, Ontario.
