Abstract
The stemwood of Pinus densiflora was found to be more resistant than the stemwood of Pinus rigida x radiata in inhibiting the decaying activity and linear growth of Fomesannosus. The chemical factors responsible for the variations in resistance were extractable in chloroform. One fraction isolated from the chloroform extract of P. densiflor is responsible for its inhibition.
