The main aim of this paper is to help students and early career ecologists identify a variety of careers outside of academia. We provide practical advice, as well as hints and tips on what they will need (qualifications, transferable skills, experience gained through fellowships and internships, etc.) in order to have the best chance of getting onto a career path for ecological and forest landscape restoration.
