Profile
Alison Grant graduated from Sault College in 2019 with a diploma in the Natural Environment Technologist program. In 2021, she graduated from Algoma University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science.
Alison has previous work experience as a research assistant with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. This position provided her experience with various invasive agricultural pests, specifically the brown marmorated stink bug. Alison has worked in several different positions at the Invasive Species Centre. She conducted insect diagnostics on a variety of insect forest pests found throughout Ontario.
Alison began working at the Great Lakes Forestry Centre (GLFC) in 2021 as an Assistant Entomology Technician, where she conducted research on emerald ash borer and hemlock woolly adelgid. In 2022, Alison began working at the Insect Production and Quarantine Laboratories (IPQL) as an Entomology Technician.
