Heather MacDonald is an interdisciplinary social scientist at the Great Lakes Forestry Centre in Sault Ste. Marie. Heather's current research interests include sustainable forest development in Canada and globally, including research on tree planting, wildfire, and forest disease/forest infestations. Heather's research also includes the development of spatial models of climate variables to support Canadian Forest Service researchers and others in investigating climate and climate change impacts.
